Their short, dense coat comes in various colors, including black, gray, fawn, and brindle. They are known for their dignified and confident expression.
The Cane Corso is intelligent, loyal, and protective by nature. They form deep bonds with their families and are highly territorial, making them excellent guard dogs. However, their protective instincts require them to be well-trained and socialized from a young age to prevent overly aggressive behavior. Cane Corsos are often described as affectionate and gentle with their families, including children, but they can be wary of strangers.
Despite their size and strength, Cane Corsos are energetic and require regular physical activity and mental stimulation. They thrive in environments where they have a job or a purpose, such as guarding property, participating in obedience training, or engaging in dog sports.
